Anthony Reyes

Anthony Reyes is a veteran strategist with diverse experience in media, politics, and entertainment. He consults independently, serving clients in California and New York primarily in strategic communications and public affairs, and works on entertainment projects as an actor, writer, and producer. Throughout his career, Anthony has a proven track record in enhancing the image and reputation of public figures, artists, causes, and organizations, as well as using a creative and digital approach to shape public narratives and manage crises.

Anthony most recently was vice president of corporate communications at global entertainment agency William Morris Endeavor (WME), where he oversaw external press relations, media strategy, and digital engagement, working with executives, agents, and clients in the highest echelons of film, TV, music, sports, digital content, books, and more.

Before WME, Anthony worked at renowned PR agencies Mercury Public Affairs (now Actum) and Edelman on corporate public affairs across different industries from their California offices. He also led communications and marketing at the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), the region’s official tech business incubator that leads the implementation of climate and zero-emission goals.

Anthony previously served as communications director for the Leader of the California State Senate from 2014 to 2018, steering communications efforts in the state legislature to pass historic laws relating to climate, infrastructure, healthcare, and the economy, as well as protections from the Trump Administration. Anthony also served as a Presidential appointee in the Obama Administration, working in the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Public Affairs and with the Obama White House on media relating to Wall Street reform, international sanctions, domestic finance, tax policy, and more.

Anthony started his career as a TV producer at NBC News and MSNBC and helped launch MSNBC’s The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, one of the most influential cable news programs today. He has also worked on series and documentaries for HBO Documentary Films and NBCUniversal’s cable networks.
