Mark returned to Project Angel Food in 2016 as the Director of Philanthropy and oversees the Development, Events, Communications and Volunteer Services departments of the organization.
Prior leadership roles include Director of Corporate Partnerships and Events at Bob Hope USO, Director of Partnerships and Events for CASA of Los Angeles and Executive Director of Events, Programs and Partnerships for the University of Southern California Alumni Association. He was Managing Director for lifestyle expert Sandra Lee and her Food Network program Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee and has developed network holiday programming, editorial for Amazon.com and a men’s grooming column for Salon City Magazine.
From 1999 through 2003, Mark served as Director of Special Events at Project Angel Food, annually producing Divine Design, Angel Awards and Angel Art, raising more than $10 million for the organization’s meal delivery program. Earlier work includes leadership at Gay & Lesbian Elder Housing, GLAAD Media Awards, Revlon Fire & Ice Ball, BAFTA Awards, HRC Los Angeles Dinner Gala, Los Angeles LGBT Center Gala, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Dinner and Environmental Media Awards.
Mark has received BizBash’s Non-Profit Event Planner of the Year Award, Circle of Excellence Award (CASE) for the USC Women’s Conference and served as guest lecturer for Point Foundation and USC’s Sol Price School of Public Policy Master’s Degree program. He mentors students in LA County High Schools, USC and UCLA who are pursuing careers in development and communications.
