On Aug. 27, 2023, Circle of Angels donors Gerry and Hank Alpert brought their family to Project Angel Food to commemorate a new delivery van — named in loving memory of Gerry’s mother, Helen D. Rodbell.

Thanks to their generosity, Project Angel Food now has another beautiful van to help deliver medically tailored meals all throughout Los Angeles County.

We are so proud to honor Helen’s legacy with this new van — she not only had a beautiful heart for philanthropy, but she was a staunch car enthusiast who named each one she drove. The van is now out on the road helping feed 2,500 clients a day. Thank you, Gerry and Hank!
