Arun Baheti is Project Angel Food’s first-ever Chief Operating Officer and serves as General Counsel. He oversees the organization’s core operations, including finance, human resources, facilities, technology and kitchen operations. Working across departments, he strengthens the people, systems and infrastructure needed to support Project Angel Food’s continued growth while protecting its standards for quality and individualized care.
Baheti brings more than two decades of executive and operational leadership across the nonprofit, philanthropic, government, technology and civic sectors. Before joining Project Angel Food, he served as Vice President of Operations at The California Wellness Foundation. He previously led operations and finance at the Writers Guild Foundation, held senior executive positions at Marshall & Swift/Bluebook and The Bluebook International, and served as California’s first Director of eGovernment in the Governor’s Office. He also led statewide outreach and field operations focused on minority and underserved communities for Covered California during the launch of the Affordable Care Act.
Baheti chairs the board of the Program for Torture Victims and serves on the advisory board of Coro Southern California. He earned a B.A. from Macalester College and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law and is a member of the State Bar of California.
