2026 Angel Awards Gala Honoring Mr. Chuck Lorre

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, we will host our annual Angel Awards Gala, the first major event at our new The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation Kitchen & Campus, honoring legendary television creator and philanthropist Mr. Chuck Lorre with The Founders Angel Award — an extraordinary distinction presented only once before in Project Angel Food’s history. Named in recognition of The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation’s transformational generosity, our new campus marks a historic step forward in Project Angel Food’s mission to prepare and deliver medically tailored meals with love, dignity, and care to a growing number of people facing serious and life-threatening illness across Los Angeles County.

Guests will dine under the stars at our new home, enjoy a sumptuous feast, and celebrate Mr. Lorre’s extraordinary impact on Project Angel Food, which has served marginalized individuals with compassion since 1989. The evening will be emceed by Loni Love, with celebrity auctioneer Caroline Rhea, and with special appearances from friends and stars from Mr. Lorre’s remarkable television career, a once-in-a-lifetime performance by Barenaked Ladies, including The Big Bang Theory theme song, and the opportunity to be among the first to receive Mr. Lorre’s upcoming HarperCollins autobiography, Sitcom: A Memoir, before its October release.
